So much thought has gone into our First Swim centre design to make it safe, practical, comfortable and welcoming for you and your little ones. When you arrive for your swim session you will find a large area to park your buggy and you will be greeted by our helpful staff who will assist you in any way they can.
Our showpiece shallow pool is a new cutting edge eco-design, heated to a balmy 33°C. We use state of the art UV filtration systems which reduces the need for harmful chemicals and ensures water quality meets the highest of standards. We also use heat recovery ventilation throughout the centre offering clean purified air.
We have 8 spacious changing cubicles with a pull down change unit in each one. There are high chairs, extra change tables and cots/playpens for those handsfree moments that are much needed when changing before and after the pool. The spin dryer and the low volume hair dryers help on the colder days and we even have gentle music playing in the background to help soothe the babies after their swim class.
Our customer-only child friendly cafe has been carefully designed with no hard edges, easy to use highchairs and comfortable seating for breast or bottle feeding before or after your class. For all other feeding needs, we’ve got you covered. We have multiple bottle warming stations and microwaves so you can warm up food for your baby. Not to mention the excellent barista style coffee served to your table.
We wanted to create a safe space for parents to bring their babies and toddlers to learn a life skill, whilst enjoying the overall experience at the same time – not just the class itself. Bonding in the water with their little ones, having a place to nurse or feed them after their class and to have an opportunity to meet and chat to other parents with children of a similar age. This is what First Swim is all about.

The pace of the class is great, he differentiates as needed to meet the needs of all the children in the class, the lessons are well paced, clear instructions and lots of fun. We’ve met Katie, Chloe and Grace in the pool other days and they were all fantastic too. The facilities for changing are ideal from individual cubicles with plenty of room and a wall hung changing table in all, to the travel cot in the middle, hair dryers, child friendly low music and everything in between. I’m delighted we found First Swim. We started when my son was 3 years and it’s been fantastic for his age as well as for babies. Thanks so much

We’ve been taking our 4-month-old to First Swim classes and it’s been such a lovely experience. The facilities are spotless and perfectly set up for babies, with warm water, comfortable changing areas, and everything you need right on hand. The instructors are fantastic. Each class is calm, fun, and really helps build our baby’s confidence in the water. I’ve noticed such a difference already in just a few weeks! Also, she has the best naps afterwards!

We’ve been with First Swim in Sandyford since the very beginning, when our first son, started learning to swim shortly after they launched. Now, over three years later, his younger brother is there too, and absolutely flying it! From day one, it’s been clear that the owners and founders, have created something genuinely special. The place is modern, pristinely clean, and designed with such care and thought for families. Everything from the layout to the facilities makes the experience so comfortable and enjoyable, not just for the kids, but for parents too. The instructors and staff are incredible, professional, kind, patient, and full of enthusiasm. The education and confidence our boys have gained in the water are amazing to see. It’s also been a lovely social hub, especially for new parents with little ones from newborn to four years old. We’ll be genuinely sad when our boys age out of the program, but we couldn’t recommend FirstSwim highly enough. It’s been such a positive and memorable part of our family’s journey.
